HAUSER & WIRTH MONACO X

Paulin, Paulin, Paulin

De Leeuw was invited by Paulin, Paulin, Paulin to equip the music studio at the heart of Mise-en-scène, their exhibition at Hauser & Wirth Monaco.

The studio sits at the centre of the installation. Artists invited by Benjamin Paulin will be able to discover the studio, play our instrument — The Nina — and record on site. The instrument is exhibited to gallery visitors until 31 August 2026.

A rare moment for an electric guitar maker. De Leeuw is shaping, quietly, a French voice for the electric guitar.

THE INSTRUMENT SELECTED FOR THE STUDIO

THE Nina

Some instruments you tune; others you learn to tame. The Nina is one of the latter. For Mise-en-scène, the Nina Lavender Fields of Provence was chosen, with a flamed top that answers the colours of the exhibition. Entrusted for the occasion, she awaits the invited artists and remains on view to the gallery's visitors.
