THE COLLECTIONS
Every De Leeuw is born of the same gesture and the same architecture: neck-through build, French walnut and maple carved by hand, without a single CNC machine.
The series, Racine and Air, define the form. The collections define the material: four levels, from the atelier's woods to artisanat d'art.
ATELIER
The De Leeuw instrument in its full definition: French walnut and maple selected, milled and dried at the atelier, a fingerboard in ebony, French maple or rosewood, neck-through build, a carved body.
The Atelier collection is not an entry level; it is the reference from which the three other collections elevate the material.

RÉSERVE
The Réserve collection adorns the instrument with a figured maple top and a fine line of binding between the fingerboard and the neck. Some colours, including sparkle finishes, exist only from the Réserve collection upward.

MILLÉSIME
Each log that enters the atelier yields only a few exceptional pieces. The Millésime collection brings them together: the finest cuts of each log, for every part of the instrument.
Burl tops, quarter-sawn cuts, exceptional mahogany: the wood decides. You choose your pieces from photographs, or in hand, at the Paris showroom or at the atelier.
The instrument is built entirely by the hand of Quentin De Leeuw, Maître Artisan d'Art, from carving to varnish to final assembly.

HÉRITAGE
At the summit, the Héritage collection adds to the Millésime's material and hand an artisanat d'art: straw marquetry, ornamental carving.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
The Millésime collection elevates the material of existing models: you choose your woods from the atelier's proposals, on a Racine or Air series design. The Custom Shop opens the entire instrument to choice: the shape, the woods, the hardware, the electronics, the colour, down to singular elements imagined with you. Millésime chooses the material; the Custom Shop composes the instrument.
It is an official title, granted by the French State to artisans who reach recognised mastery of a métier d'Art. Quentin De Leeuw received it in 2026, at thirty-one, for guitar lutherie. It is not self-awarded; it is earned.
Atelier, Réserve and Millésime can be chosen on every model of the Racine and Air series, guitars and basses. Héritage pieces are limited editions, presented individually.
The atelier proposes a selection of pieces from its finest logs, on photographs. You may also choose them in hand, at the Paris showroom or at the atelier. Book an appointment
Yes, all of them. Every instrument that leaves the atelier is numbered and accompanied by its certificate of authenticity. Some pieces are also born as limited editions: their certificate then carries the instrument's number within the edition.
Bodies and necks are born of French walnut and maple, worked from the log at the atelier. Fingerboards are in ebony, French maple or rosewood. In the Millésime collection and at the Custom Shop, other exceptional species may enter the instrument.
